My mom's Chihuahua has been battling inflammatory bowel issues for years. Trips to the Vets for antibiotics, Mylicon drops for the gas, and trying to reduce the stress (aka seperation anxiety) to ease the symptoms. Several months back she saw a new Vet at the practice. He gave her advice, stating that no one knows why, but giving a daily probiotic, such as Purina Fortilora, along with a diet of rice and chicken, (his favorite thing in the whole wide world), could lessen the amount of episodes he has. He eats it every day sprinkled on his food with no problems. Best part is, he's doing much better. Less episodes and a much happier dog all the way around.
